CRAZY CHEMISTRY FUN WITH “DR. PICKLESTEIN,” BARBARA MORGAN, AND THE GIRL SCOUTS

BOISE, ID – Join the Girl Scouts for a night of crazy chemistry concoctions and space odysseys with Henry “Dr. Picklestein” Charlier, Boise State University Chemistry Professor and Barbara Morgan, Endeavor astronaut at the BSU Student Union in the Barnwell Room from 7:00-9:00 pm on Tuesday, December 9th located at 1910 University Drive in Boise.

Charlier has participated in a science community outreach for over 14 years. This year he is aiming to reach 2000 students with his science program, sharing the wonder of science with people of all ages. He is especially interested in sharing this opportunity with girls and young women. “Females are underrepresented in science and I am committed to do my part to help reach a balance in the sciences,” said Charlier. By inviting the Girl Scouts to this event he knows he can reach a larger number of girls and young women to share his love of science with. Barbara Morgan will also be on hand to share her experiences with NASA and to answer questions. Of the evening’s activities Charlier states, “I am hoping that this will really prove to be an inspiration to the girls in attendance.”

Admission is $5 at the door (Girl Scouts may use cookie bonuses). For more information call Debbie Love at 208-377-2011 ext. 104.
