Girl Scouts of Silver Sage Council Camp Can Dreams Into Reality!
Has your daughter dreamed of waterskiing, hiking up and over a majestic mountain, experiencing horseback riding, or singing songs with new friends around a campfire? Or, maybe she's dreamed of being part of a community surrounded by others who accept her for her?
Girl Scouts of Silver Sage Council offers two resident camps for all girls, regardless of whether they are a current Girl Scout.
Camp Alice Pittenger (CAP) is a cabin-style camp located near Ponderosa State Park in McCall, Idaho. Nestled among the majestic pines on the shores of Payette Lake, CAP focuses on water activities, including swimming, sailing, waterskiing, wake boarding, lake kayaking, and canoeing. Girl also explore arts and sciences while being responsible stewards of the land.
Pine Creek Ranch (PCR) is a dormitory-style camp located in the Salmon/Challis National Forest near Shoup, Idaho. PCR focuses on horse activities, as well as learning about local flora and fauna, and taking ownership of the majestic Idaho outdoors. Swimming is not available at this camp.
One of the many different pathways into Girl Scouting is through camp. Through camp, your daughter will DISCOVER by engaging in activities to support a greater understanding of herself, and she'll use her knowledge and skills to explore the world. She'll CONNECT through participating in activities that express a sense of caring locally and globally, and she'll TAKE ACTION by engaging in activities to make a difference in the world.
